What is opening week?
Opening week is the start of the Zante party season. The venues in Laganas begin their summer programmes, and boat party schedules typically start in late May before peaking in July and August.[1] Some regular club nights do not begin until June, so opening week is a mix of launch parties and a lighter schedule than midsummer.[2]
When is it in 2027?
Trick Zante's opening week runs from 26 to 31 May 2027, which is 5 nights. Exact line-ups, doors times and venues are set by the organisers of each event, so check closer to the date.
What the weather is like
Late May is warm rather than hot. The average is about 19°C, with highs around 23°C in the day and nights around 14°C, and rain is rare.[3] The sea is only beginning to warm up, at roughly 18 to 20°C. May is described as just before the summer rush, with a more relaxed feel than high season.[3] See Zante in May for the full detail.
The three opening parties
- The White Party: the opening party at Karma, where you wear white.
- VVIP Boat Party: an opening party out at sea.
- ABODE: an opening party at Pure Zante, with a stage and a pool.

Who opening week suits
It suits groups of friends who want the parties without peak-season heat or crowds. If you want the biggest scale and the full programme of weekly nights, July and August have more on, and Laganas mainly suits young adults and partygoers whichever month you pick.[2][4]
