Laganas Beach
Laganas has the longest beach on the island, a 5 km stretch of sand with shallow, calm water. Sunloungers and parasols are for hire and there are beach bars and eateries.[1] Loggerhead turtles nest on the beach in July and August.[1]
Marathonisi (Turtle Island)
A small islet close to Zante with a golden beach, caves and arches, known as a nesting site for loggerhead sea turtles. You visit on an organised cruise, to swim and see the nests.[2]
Keri Caves
Reached by boat from the Laganas side, and included in some self-drive boat routes from Agios Sostis.[4]
Boat parties and pool days
The Zante party scene runs in the day too. Pool venues such as Pure Zante host day and evening parties,[5] and boat parties usually start in late May.[3] Trick Zante's package includes three opening parties.
Planning your days
Strip nights usually run from about 10pm to 6am,[6] so keep one calm day for recovery, drink water, and use sun cream, since the late May sun is strong with about 10 hours of sunshine a day.[7] For boats, see speedboats and boat hire in Zante.
